Our camp offers a variety of activities in which campers will be able to interact and socialize with one another. We will spend time both indoors and outdoors with trips to the park, the soccer field, and the wing museum as well as participate in games, crafts and even opportunities to try out our Rockwall.

Refund Policy 

There will be no refunds for camp once a child is registered for the program. In addition, absences due to illnesses throughout the camp will not be considered for refunds. Considerations for military operations and serious medial emergencies will be accepted with documentation on a case by case basis through the Recreation Supervisor Emily Silver 705-494-2011 ext. 2617 or [email protected] 

 

Items to Bring 

Children are expected to bring the following items to and from camp each day. PSP staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items, please ensure all items are labeled with your child's name. 

  • Outdoor Gear  

  • Swim suit 

  • Towel  

  • A bag for wet swim wear  

  • Athletic Shoes  

  • Water Bottle  

  • Lunch * 

  • Minimum of two snacks 

  • Hat 

  • Sunscreen 

*Campers will not have access to a fridge or microwave. 

  

Pick up/Drop Off 

The drop off and pick up location will be Club 100 (Ayr Mess, 17 Duxford Rd) through the patio entrance. Drop off runs from 7:30-8:00AM, and pick up is from 4:00-4:30PM. If your child(ren) is/are ten years and older they can walk to and from camp so long as the Consent to Release form has been completed by a parent/guardian. If someone other than the parent or guardian is going to be picked up, the Community/Recreation Supervisor, Emily Silver, must be notified in person beforehand 

 

Administration of Medication 

All medication is to be handed to the Counsellor at the beginning of each day, no child is to carry medication in their belongings (with the exception of EpiPens). All medication must be in its original container and a Medication Consent form must be completed and submitted to PSP upon registration. A dispensing record for each child requiring medication will be kept and maintained by PSP staff. 

 

Child Protection  

PSP is committed to ensuring the safety of children in our care. Our recreation leaders, coaches and instructors must: 

  • Complete a Vulnerable Sector and reliability status; 

  • Never be left alone with one child. 

  • Use appropriate gestures for rewarding behavior, HIGH FIVE vs hugs 

  • Know how to recognize the signs of abuse 

  • Ensure all children are treated with respect, honesty, and trust; 

  • Recognize and accept children's individual needs and circumstances; 

  • Employ positive behavior-management methods; 

  • Help children value and celebrate diversity in the community; 

  • Consistently model appropriate behavior; and 

  • Be trained in all of the above.
