GMFRC Corner Brook Satellite Office

The Satellite Office provides services to families of Regular and Reserve Force members of the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in Corner Brook and Stephenville. As well, the Satellite Office provides outreach services to families of deployed Regular and Reserve Force members living on the west coast of Newfoundland, regardless of which Base the member is deployed from.

The Satellite Office is your west coast referral source, connecting local military families with family support services, programs and resources offered through the MFRC in Gander.

In addition to an extensive resource library, the Satellite Office provides access the following services:

• Package delivery to deployed members overseas
• Respite childcare
• Referral Services such as: Canadian Forces Members Assistance Program, Family Information Line, Operational Stress Injury Social Support, Support Our Troops Program, local community resources, etc.
• PMQ Bookings in Gander
• Employment assistance (resume/cover letter) and 2nd Language training for military spouses through the Employment Coordinator in Gander
• Monthly evening office hours in both the Corner Brook and Stephenville Armouries

Support Group in Stephenville

A new support group for military members, veterans and first responders has been ongoing in Stephenville since Spring 2016. They hold informal monthly get-togethers at the Stephenville Legion.
