September 25th held at the 5 CDSB Gagetown Fitness Centre was the 2025 Chad o'Quinn Memorial Powerlifting Competition.
Chad O'Quinn was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 7 years. Born in Happy Valley, Goose Bay Nfld, and raised in Wassis NB. Chad served 2 tours in Afghanistan; sadly, Chad passed while serving in Afghanistan in 2009. He took great pride in being a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, always challenged life and encouraged others to do the same.
This memorial event was started in 2010 by PSP. Chad was a powerlifter, and this sport is a very supportive community as everyone strives to beat their own personal records. for those that knew Chad, this was a sport that he loved and there is no better way to honor his memory than to lift heavy and step outside your comfort zone.
