She is a veteran, having served for 25 years with the Regular Force. As a Canadian Armed Forces member, she was posted to Ottawa, Kingston, Winnipeg, Shilo and here in Calgary. Lorelei deployed on several domestic operations, OP Calumet (Sinai, Egypt) and the winter Olympics in Vancouver. She also served on CMFRC’s Board of Directors from 2011–2018 in several positions and served as the Vice Chair of the National Advisory Committee for MFRCs. Lorelei and her husband Ian, who is also a veteran, live in Cochrane.

They really enjoy the company of their two youngest grandchildren Jackson and Nicholas who are learning to enjoy a bit of country life- feeding the horses, driving the lawn tractor or just running around.
