NOTICE FOR RECENT RETIREMENTS AND OFFBOARDING EMPLOYEES

If you have recently left CFMWS and are expecting communication from the pension administrator or a settlement of your pension benefit, please be aware that there may be delays due to the Canada Post service disruption. We are currently in discussions with the pension administrator to determine how they are adapting to the strike. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

NOTICE FOR RETIREES RECEIVING PENSION PAYMENTS BY CHEQUE

Due to the disruption in Canada Post services, we encourage you to switch to a direct deposit of your pension payments to avoid any delays in payment. Direct deposit ensures that your funds are deposited directly into your bank account, regardless of any postal service disruptions.  

International Retirees: International direct deposit is now available! This option provides a secure and efficient way to receive your payments without relying on postal services. 

To set up either domestic or international direct deposit, please contact CIBC Mellon between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday at one of the following numbers:

  • North American callers: 1-800-565-0479
  • International callers: 1-519-873-2218

We encourage you to make this change as soon as possible to ensure timely delivery of your upcoming pension payments.
