Special Needs Services in Yellowknife

  • Healthy Family Program - offers support to families with children, including children with special needs. This program offers supports prenatally or shortly after birth and may continue until the child reaches 5 years of age. 

  • NWT Disabilities Council - provides a variety of programs including: early childhood intervention, information and referral, support, respite, learning supports, summer program and accessible transit. 
  • Inclusion NWT - supports families, children, youth and adults with intellectual and other disabilities. Services include respite care.
