  • Anger: Understanding, Preventing, and Managing Anger

    Internal dialogue, anger management, communication, addressing conflict.
    Participants must attend all four workshops.

    Length: 3-hours

  • Inclusion and Respect at Defense (IRD)
    This training will help you understand the fundamentals of a respectful workplace and distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors within the Department of Defense.

    It will also highlight the importance of psychological safety, inclusive practices, and a trauma-informed approach to foster a healthy and welcoming work environment for everyone.

    Lenght: Full day (8am to 4pm)
  • Marital Communication
    Marital Communication: Conflict Management
    Learn to better understand and defuse tensions in your relationship.
    This course covers simple strategies for communicating effectively, expressing your needs, and managing conflicts without escalation.

    By the end of this course, members will know which foods to add to their diet to balance their daily energy and e intake.
    They will also be able to read nutrition labels and identify sources of fat and sugar.

  • Nutrition on a budget
    By the end of this course, you will be able to understand the role of nutrition in promoting health and preventing chronic diseases, prepare a healthy meal, use the nutrition facts panel when making food choices, identify various ways to prepare a meal, manage food costs, and, most importantly, adopt mindful eating strategies.

  • Optimizing Your Daily Sleep

  • Respected in the CAF
    “Respect in the CAF” is an interactive workshop designed to help participants: understand the nature and consequences of sexual misconduct in the CAF; explore and practice witness intervention strategies; learn best practices; and know where to refer individuals for more specific information

    Duration : 1 day (8am to 3:30pm)

    Participants must attend both workshops.

  • Psychological Distress
    This course begins with an introduction to the concept of psychological distress: its definition, origins, and contributing factors. It then focuses specifically on cognitive distortions (automatic negative thoughts), as they constitute a central mechanism that can lead to or exacerbate psychological distress. Strategies for identifying and managing these distortions are also presented to promote better regulation of thoughts and mental well-being

  • Stress: Understanding Stress to Manage It Better
    In this course, we will define what stress is and its potential impacts at work. We will also discuss tips and advice for better managing it, as well as strategies to reduce the risk of burnout.

    In this course, we will cover various communication techniques that are useful both professionally and personally in order to optimize social skills.

  • Generational trends
    Generational trends: Understanding each other better to communicate better
    This course explores generational differences in a military context, identifying their origins, strengths, weaknesses, and sources of conflict. It highlights the challenges of intergenerational communication. Concrete solutions are proposed to foster better understanding and effective collaboration

    Calming the Inner Fire: Understanding and Controlling Anger
    In this presentation, participants will learn more about anger by identifying, among other things, the various emotions involved as well as the situations that can intensify or calm it. Finally, they will learn techniques to slow the rise of their anger and prevent it from erupting

    Members will learn the difference between mental strength and resilience, including the concepts and characteristics of the latter. They will also acquire practical tools to build their resilience and cope with life’s challenges.

    Discover the impact of nutrition on well-being, the role of essential nutrients, the importance of the gut microbiome, and some tips for improving your eating habits.

    This course explores why addiction can develop, how it takes hold, and the factors that make some people more at risk than others.
    The most commonly used substances and their effects are also discussed.
    The goal is to better understand the realities surrounding addiction and its impact on health and well-being.

  • Ergonomics at work
    This course on office ergonomics covers the optimal positioning of your monitor and chair, as well as the efficient layout of office supplies such as your mouse, keyboard, and paper holder. It will also explore the advantages and disadvantages of sitting and standing positions and how to adopt them properly. Finally, it will provide you with strategies to prevent fatigue when working at a screen and thus promote a healthy and productive work environment.

     
  • Injuries Prevention
    Causes of injuries, proper equipment, prevention exercises, importance of posture (when running).
  • Sleep
    Sleep patterns and attitudes, falling asleep, changing habits, naps.
  • Sports recovery strategies

    Learn proven recovery methods (e.g., self-massage, cold water immersion, compression stockings, etc.) and when and how to use them.




     
  • Stress at work
    The various sources of stress at work and the link with burnout.
