NBMFRC Preschool Programs

The NBMFRC offers a great variety of fun (and sometimes messy!) facilitated programs that provide learning opportunities through play and exploration for children and social interaction for both children and parents. Parental attendance is required; parental participation appreciated! 
  
 These programs may include:

  • Art programs
  • Playgroups in both French and English
  • Sensory Play
  • Physical activity
  • Literacy
  • And much more!

 We also offer special events of a seasonal nature and love to celebrate special days with parties, picnics and other fun activities! Please check out our monthly calendar to see details of current programs and special events and information on how to register.

 We are always open to suggestions from community members about programs they would be interested in. Let us know what you might like to see and we’ll see if we can make it happen.

Active Kids COME EXPLORE OUR OPEN GYM!

PSP’s Active Kids Program aims to provide a fun, interactive and safe environment for parents and children to play and explore together. ‘Pop in’ and stay for as long or as little as works for you. Parents must be present at all times and are responsible for the supervision and well-being of their child(ren).

    Equipment: All equipment is provided
    Attire: Children should wear loose fitting clothing and indoor sneakers
    Open Enrollment: New participants are welcome to join anytime!

    Drop-Off Policy: Our programs are not drop-off classes. Parents or caregivers of all participants must stay on-site during classes.

    Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.,
    Thursday: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
    Sunday: 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    $25.00 (+HST) Recreation Association Member
    $50.00 (+HST) Non-member

    FAMILY DISCOUNT: (multiple children MUST HAVE SAME ADDRESS) = $5 off per additional child (example: first child $50 +HST, second child $45 +HST, third child $40 +HST, etc.);

    $8.50 drop-in fee (per person)

Karibou Program: 1 TO 5 YEARS

Designed specifically to meet the needs of children aged 1 to 5 years. Karibou stimulates their motor and social skills with equipment adapted and suited to toddlers. Introduce your child to sports and physical activities with Karibou! More information about the Karibou Program can be found on the Karibou website!

Parent & Tot Multi-Sport

Children Ages 2-4 years old accompanied by a parent / legal guardian.

PSP’s Parent & Tot Multi-Sport Program keeps children moving and engaged while sending them home with new skills from a different sport each session.

  • Details
    Children are introduced to the fundamental skills associated with six (6) different sports.

    These sports provide a foundation for a lifetime of active living including Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Football, Ball Hockey and Badminton.

Registration

Registration is available at the Recreation Association Office and/or PSP Gagetown Online Registration if you already have an online account. The Recreation Association Office is located at the Base Fitness Centre, Building M2.
 
 A receipt will be given to show the Recreation Leader for proof of payment.  Sign-in at the reception desk will be required by all participants, each session.
