City Of Yellowknife - Yellowknife Aquatic Centre

The Yellowknife Aquatic Centre is a bright, warm and welcoming place to exercise, learn (Red Cross and Lifesaving Society programs available), and play. This pool gives members access to an 8 lane pool featuring a 1m and 3m diving board, a beach pool with a lazy rivers, a hot tub with an accessibility entrance for all abilities and ages, and a steam room.

Programs Open for Registration

There are several convenient ways to register for the lessons or programs that you are interested in taking.  You may also be eligible for a child tax credit.

Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club

The Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club has been providing competitive swimming opportunities to Yellowknife youth since 1970.

Swimmers join the club as young as 5 years old, as Tadpoles or Dolphins, and work their way up through the different group levels, with guidance from qualified enthusiastic coaches until they reach Gold Squad in their final years of High School.

The Club trains in the City's 8 lane Aquatic Centre and host regular time trials and competitions where they compete against other clubs in the Northwest Territories. Get more information.
