Education Support Services in Winnipeg


The Winnipeg MFRC Board and staff understand the challenges placed on the education plan military families have as a result of postings.

Upon your arrival in Winnipeg, it may be beneficial to meet with our staff, who will support you with education issues that may arise.

We are available for individual consultation and assistance with your education planning. These services are available to military spouses, their immediate families, and youth.

Voilà Learning

Voilà Learning, in partnership with Military Family Services, is offering online homework support in French, English, and Math to military families’ children. Children also have the opportunity to practice their French and English and play French games on the platform – riddles, pictograms and much more – all while winning points.

The Virtual Immersion Campus is open from Monday to Thursday from 4 pm to 7pm (Manitoba Time). Virtual services are available to military families’ children from Grade 1 to Grade 12.

Public Schools - Primary and High Schools

Winnipeg is divided into six public school divisions. French schooling is provided by Division scolaire franco-manitobaine which covers the entire province of Manitoba.

Catholic Education

Catholic education is provided from K to Grade 12, in English only, by private schools.
