Outings

Outings for young people aged 9 to 17 are organized by the MFRC Montreal Region to let young people from military families to socialize with each other, discover their region and share their reality. Parents are invited to register their child for these outings via our portal.

  • Green Class
The Green Class is a departure ritual for young people whose parents will be transferred and their friends from military families. By participating in an activity that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle, we want to foster meaningful and lasting connections between youth. We believe that strengthening the bonds that exist between them can help them develop resilience strategies.

The Green Class takes place on the banks of the Richelieu River in Saint-Paul-de L'Ile-aux-Noix. The centre offers more than thirty outdoor activities and has a gym, a mini-farm and a climbing wall. Youngsters are introduced to kayaking, archery, rabaska and much more! A discussion space is offered to the youth in order to exchange on lived challenges and/or strategies to bring about change.
  • Teen Outings
Teen outings are organized activities for teenagers between 11 and 17 years old. We seek to offer young people from military families opportunities to meet and exchange ideas, while introducing them to attractions in the region.
