Montreal Region MFRC - Family Daycare Plan

The Family Daycare Plan was designed as a family guide and tool to help you look for a daycare centre or simply find ad‑hoc care for your children. Printed copies are available free of charge on the MFRC’s desks in Saint-Hubert and at the Saint-Jean garrisons.

Finding a babysitter or childcare services

  • Ask for our list of childcare providers at the MFRC in the regions of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu or Saint-Hubert.
  • Contact the city hall of your municipality, which may keep childcare provider lists.
  • Contact community organizations in your municipality. Some may offer babysitters courses and have a pool of candidates.
  • Visit the stores in your neighbourhood where ads for services are posted. Post a job offer.
  • If, in your neighbourhood, ads for services are posted on mailboxes, post a job offer there.
  • Ask your neighbours, co-workers or people you meet, if they can refer you to their babysitters.
