FAQ's
1. What is a Volksmarch? Also known as a “people’s march,” Volksmarching got its name from its origins in Europe and is a noncompetitive walk that generally consists of two routes, a 5km and a 10km (CFB Kingston has a 3.6 and 5.7km). It is not a race, or a pledge walk, it is simply a fun activity to do with friends, family or by yourself. There are usually activities along the route as well as light refreshments at the beginning/end of the trail.
2. Can I bring my dog/service animal? Yes, dogs and service animals are allowed as long as they are on leashes and you are willing to remove your own dog waste.
3. Can I bring a stroller? Yes, strollers are allowed. Please note that some of the terrain on the trail can be rough.
4. Where can I park? Parking is available at the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment Parking Lot. Please do not occupy VIP & reserved parking spaces.
