Workshop for children 6 to 11 years of age!
In the transition into a new academic year, it's common for children to experience a range of emotions, with anxiety at the forefront. This period of adjustment can be challenging not just for the children but also for parents who often find themselves at a loss on how to provide the necessary support. The KMFRC Mental Health Team leads a crucial discussion on understanding and managing school anxiety among children, focusing on the critical first steps towards recognizing signs of distress and the strategies to address them effectively.

Children's school anxiety can manifest in various ways, from mild nervousness to severe anxiety that affects their daily functioning. Symptoms may include trouble sleeping, stomachaches, headaches, and a reluctance to go to school. These signs often indicate a child's struggle with the pressure of schoolwork, social interactions, and the fear of the unknown that a new school year brings.

In this workshop, children are invited to join us for an insightful event as we explore the complexities of school anxiety. We offer a compassionate approach with targeted activities to help alleviate the anxiety children face at the start of the school year. This event is not just about identifying issues; it’s about creating a supportive community. We will teach the children effective strategies to help them navigate the school year with confidence. Parents will be providedwith take home resources and video links to understand their children's concerns and provide better support.
