Essential Nutrition

 
The Essential Nutrition course is a new course that goes over nutrition fundamentals, understanding food labels, meal planning, how to stretch your food dollar, and mindful eating.  It is a basic nutrition course that was developed by Registered Dietitians in collaboration with a public health and preventative medicine specialist physician and is facilitated by one of the trained Health Promotion Specialists.

FEBRUARY 3, 10, 17 & 24 (4 sessions - 08:30 - 1200) 

This course includes all four half day sessions  08:30 - 12:00 each day.  Please review your calendar and ensure your availability to attend the entire series, as partial attendance does not quality for course credit. 

To register for Health Promotion Programs that are marked * you must register through your Unit Training Coordinator. To register for all other programs, or if you are a military spouse and not a DND employee, please contact 250-363-5621 directly.

This nutrition for action program provides up to date and accurate nutritional information for individuals who are physically active, training for specific athletic events, preparing to deploy, or looking to fine tune their current diet for an active lifestyle.
